There are thousands of ways to download video from sites like YouTube and there are many browser add-ons, software tools, and manual methods to make it possible. Here is a very simple and efficient method to download video(in both MP4 (HD) and FLV format) from Youtube without any add-on or software. Moreover, you can use any browser for this. The only requirement is Java Runtime that must be in your system.
1. From YouTube, open your favorite video that you want to download.
2. Click on the address bar, and replace the word youtube to voobys (see screenshot below for details), do not change anything else in the URL. After replacing youtube to voobys, hit enter key.
3. Now it will ask you to run Java (The Voobys website uses Java Applet to convert the video). Allow Java to run.
4. A download video option will be shown. You can download different quality video (240p – 720/1020p HD) by clicking any of the 4 buttons (See screenshot).
Version 4 is HD video (720p/1020p – MP4), and Version1, 2 and 3 is FLV video (240p – 480p). Hope you’ll enjoy this post!
